Hi,

Sounds great, am at about the same grade as you and was climbing E1 a couple of years ago living in Bogota, climbing outdoor every weekend at some amazing limestone crags but out of practice. Have boots, harness, belay but left rack at home as only had a suitcase and other things sadly had to take the space.

Have my own 4WD and am free pretty much every weekend, would love to go outdoor and get back into it, slowly getting beck into shape and building the muscle up again so we shall see what grade I am at.

My name is Cameron and I live in Al Qusais, so what we can do is meet up at the Wafi for an inddor climb then take it outdoors, or if you know anywhere else that's better - not sure what you think but fairly gutted at the state of Dubais only wall.

Anyway give us a shout in interested.

A moment of insanity by the Dome owners that we convinced that people would flock to a climbing wall in a ski slope by a couple of travelling salesmen. Wall will never be used in its current location but they are not interested to sell at current offered price.

Hello,

I've just moved to Abu Dhabi and I still don't know any place natural outdoor to climb !! I've been climbing in the the wall ( Trade Center Apartments, Dubai), and a couple of times on Wafi which is pretty good !!

I've got the UAE Climbing Guide, and it shows lots of places to go out for climbing. I really would like to go somewhere this weekend so just give a call if you are interested. We could go to the wall in Dubai or outside somewhere !!!

ah cool nice one guys!!

Im afraid this weekend im doing my open water diving course ready for the summer when its to hot to climb!!
And the weekend after i have friends coming over so might be heading out to hatta or wonderwall to take them out climbing!

I tried the trade center wall and man was i dissapointed! Crazy swings, busy, sweaty. and only a couple of warm up routes and nothing really inbetween!!

I mean what are those swings about (on top rope) its just rediculous more scary than trad climbing with the ammount of people climbing there haha!!

Thats a shame about the ski dubai wall maybe we could turn it into a dry tooling/ice wall that would be amazing!!

But if anyone wants to meet up next week at the wafi for a boulering/leading/top rope sesh thats cool with me maybe monday night?

Chris

ps how do i get an email telling me when someone has replied to this thread? (just found it sorted!!)
